Purple Day - March 26th

Founded in 2008, by nine-year-old Cassidy Megan of Nova Scotia, Canada with the help of the Epilepsy Association of Nova Scotia, Purple Day is an internals grassroots efforts dedicated to increasing awareness about epilepsy worldwide. On March 26th, people from around the globe are asked to wear purple and spread the word about epilepsy.

Why? Epilepsy affects more than 50 million people worldwide. That’s more than multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy and Parkinson’s disease combined.

Getting involved is easy. Wear purple and encourages others to do the same. Host a Purple Day party or fund raising event at your home, school or business. Most importantly get real facts about epilepsy by browsing this site and those of our partners to learn more.

To become an Ambassador of the Purple Program please visit Purple Day and www.purpleday.org
