Thanks to the efforts of sponsors, donors, volunteers and 144 golfers, the11th annual Epilepsy Durham Region Charity Golf Tournament was another huge success, raising $19,000.00. The event, which took place on June 17th at Deer Creek Golf and Banquet Facility in Ajax, Ont., welcomed hundreds of community members, golfers and dignitaries as they teed off for a chance to improve the lives of individuals living with epilepsy in Durham Region. A chance for exercise and to support a local charity serving an estimated 36,000 individuals in my community? What a great way to spend the day! BingoBingo sessions are held twice per month at the Red Barn Bingo Hall at 72 Wayne Street, Oshawa.
